“We loved your house and had a great time. It worked perfectly for our combined families and as advertised everything was there. It was great not to have to bring kayaks, beach chairs, beach toys, etc. Your backyard is beautiful and feels very secluded. I loved your tool shed and took pictures so I can attempt to duplicate it at our own house in the future. We hadn’t been to Cape Cod in years. With the nice weather and great accommodations we were able to truly enjoy it. We’ll be back. We loved it.” L.S. –

“It is hard to get back to the real world. We had a wonderful christening of our granddaughter at Holy Redeemer down the street from your house and then a clam bake afterwards at your house. We also used your kayaks many times. Your house was so well supplied. My kids think that you have as many platters and kitchen gear as I have. I think we ate more than half of our dinners with food from Nickerson’s, either cooking fresh seafood or take out (we took your advice and had them steam the lobsters for us). “We all had a great vacation. ‘Shore Acres’ accommodated all thirteen of us with ease. The kayaks were very popular. There were many trips back and forth to Tern Island. On some trips down toward the fishing pier the boats and their occupants were accompanied by the harbor seals. You know the week was a success when the children ask if we can come back again next year prior to leaving.” M.B. –

“We loved staying at your property – it was beautiful and perfect for us! We all thought the kitchens were especially well-equipped, and the rooms were all very comfortable & inviting. The deck and grounds were very nice, too. We loved lounging on the back deck in the afternoon sun, reading our books and enjoying a glass of wine. We rode bikes all through the neighborhood – lovely! So many beautiful homes! We walked down the little road, not the path, every day to go to the beach. We were very comfortable in your home and completely relaxed in the setting. Having undersized a house the previous summer with my wife’s family, this was the right way to do it. Two kitchens, plenty of space, and the wonderful yard. Wouldn’t change a thing. “We had a wonderful time at your home – there was plenty of room for all 13 of us. We used the oceanfront for kayaking, canoeing, ‘treasure hunting’ (tons of crab and snail shells), and had a fun bonfire one evening. One of the many thoughtful touches in your house that was particularly helpful for us with young children was all of the night lights – our kids easily navigated throughout the house to find us upstairs when they needed us. The kids loved the great climbing trees in the backyard, found frogs in the pond (and released them of course), had many flag football and wiffleball games, etc. We went to the fish market twice to watch the boats unload and to enjoy the seals. It was really a great vacation.” E.R. -
“Our family reunion took place in this wonderful house and I must say, it was great! Enough room for the elders to take refuge from the children AND large enough gathering rooms for everyone to be together. The house was clean and stocked with linens when we arrived. The outdoor shower (with warm water no less) was fantastic after beach days. The garden was very private, and while the adults grilled dinner, the kids could play wiffle ball without disturbing anyone. We also enjoyed kayaking, crabbing and starfish seeking at the beach. The Lighthouse beach nearby was just amazing with seals gathering at the point of the beach and waves for the kids to play in! This house has a wonderful location, near town and beaches. We had a great time here and created many happy memories for our relatives from Europe and the states! We recommend it for families with young children.” S.M. - |
